
Meet Jasmin Sanchez
Jasmin Sanchez is the President of Three Bridges Democratic Club and Candidate for Female District Leader in the 74th Assembly District - Part A (Lower East Side, Loisaida & the East Village.
All About Me
Jasmin Sanchez is a lifelong NYCHA resident, a product of the NYC public school system, housing and climate justice organizer, a long-time youth advocate, and a results-driven community activist. She attends the CUNY School for Labor and Urban Studies (the Murphy Institute) working on her Master's in Public Policy with a Public Health Track.


Jasmin founded a nonprofit organization on the Lower East Side of Manhattan focused on youth and community development. She serves on the board of the Omega Phi Beta Foundation, which is an organization that provides scholarships to students focused on STEAM and is the Community Engagement Director for Movimiento Victoria Ciudadana, which is a network of the Puerto Rican Diaspora fighting for the rescue of public institutions, social, economic, and fiscal reconstruction, and decolonization. Jasmin is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America serving on the Executive Committee of the AfroSOC Caucus as well as an active member of Sunrise Movement, the Working Families Party and a Reclaim Fellow for Movement School.
Over the last couple of years, Jasmin has been involved in campaigns for Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She is currently the NYCHA Field Lead on the re-election campaign as well a Steward & Bargaining Committee Member for the Campaign Workers Guild (union). Jasmin has also been active with the East River Alliance, CAG, BLM, Tompkins Square Park Association, projects with LUNGS, NYCHA related teach ins, Loisaida Inc, La Sala de Pepe, Piragua Art space, St. Augustine's Church, Coalition to Save Mt Sinai and NYEEI, No More 24, the local School District, and the Girl Scouts.


In addition to the community work, Jasmin has hosted over 27 Civic 101 sessions in the community, has worked with judges, recruited county committee and supported poll workers during the elections. Jasmin has received training from Movement School, Civically Re-Engaged Women, and Latino Leadership Institute.
